Unlike wimpy modern tulips, these tulips like to multiply and come back every year! And there is great news for those in warm climates: You can grow tulips! These don't require much winter chill to thrive. Species tulips are always among the first bulbs to sell out in the Fall.

This beauty has brilliant scarlet-red flowers with a jet black base, gray-purple anthers and red-edged foliage. An excellent naturalizer!
