Hippeastrum Voodoo is a 1960's remake of H. Ackermanii, one of the first Hippeastrum Hybrids.  It is reportedly a cross between x Johnsonii and Hippeastrum Aulicum.  These are frequently confused with Amaryllis x Johnsonii

This sought-after Southern Heirloom thrives in typically bad southern conditions. You can expect them to multiply, so be prepared to share with friends.

These bulbs were orignally grown from tissue culture several years ago, and have been grown separately from other Hippeastrum.

These bulbs are offsets that are a little less than an inch across but that is nearly blooming size.  Voodoo naturally blooms from small bulbs.  Anything near two inches across is an unusually large bulb and will send up multiple stems.  They multiply rapidly, perhaps faster than any other Amaryllis I grow, so be prepared to share with friends.
