Hippeastrum Reginea is perhaps best known as one of the parents of Hippeastrum Johnsonii : one of the oldest and most cold hardy of all amaryllis hybrids.  H. Reginea is also known as Mexican lily and is native from Mexico through Peru.  As such it is a variable species.  We usually get 2-3 but have seen as many as 4 flowers per stem.

The leaves are very dark green and glossy, which is important when looking for virus resistant amaryllis.  The speckles you see in the photo are from dust.  Bulbs are an inch or more across and 2-3" tall.
