English Iris King of the Blues
Iris latifolia

These are hard to find, so I jumped when I had the chance to order some.  They have naturalized in Britain and so are commonly called "English" even though they are from the Spanish Pyrenees.  Think cool and moist.

They don't sprout until spring and bloom in early summer.  They are said not to store well, but these appear to be in good condition.  Order soon or I will plant them all.  I am hoping to hybridize them with my Dutch Iris for larger flowers.
