Formerly thought to be a form of Gladiolus Byzantinus, this is now considered to be Gladiolus italicus Alba .  It was discovered and named 'Snowflurry' by Patty Allen in Texas.  It had been naturalized in old gardens there but lost to commerce.

Cold hardy to zone 6, perhaps lower.

Bulbs are only very small cormels, but can attain blooming size after one year of good growth.  Even mature corms are quite small.
